YELLOW AMONG RED

Blonde, Gold, Sunkissed Yellow, she has many names but she prefers Red.  Her petals fold out to spread against the Sun, while teasing the humblest of all, yet she accepts none.

And why, why does she want to be a rose? With thorns so sharp and petals so conceited? Why live among the bushes so cold and lonesome just to root in anything but verdurous earth? Why not stay yellow?

It's true the stem is thin, and yes you bloom once around. But you’re verdant that way.  You belong to the summer, a season when you become the herald. It is the season when your image wreathes forlorn decadence and decay back into the earth where you stand atop in grandeur.

So, why not stay yellow and proper to your tone? Why not stay yellow and share your honeyed allure?

Nothing is more beautiful than yellow among red.
