Storms are here and they rage. The fires eminent fury is scalding souls beyond me. The soot of oppression is settling but within its kindled remains my heart bears witness. And to its regard my heart’s been blinded and burnt by that illuminated fire.
It’s embattled breaths run to sustain a beat before the next one falls and yet it still tries to pick up the one before it. But breaths weakened by martial winds suffocate what’s left of life’s undiscovered frontier. A frontier where the sun sustains my sight and the earth of my ancestors cradles my vision.
